Join Our Foster Crew
More foster homes = more lives saved.
To rescue a dog, we need a foster home in Maine to step up and provide a safe place to land. All expenses are covered—you just provide love, a stable environment, and work on basic training (like housebreaking for puppies and simple commands such as sit, stay, and come).
To foster, you must:
- Have all pets in the home spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
- Ensure no adults in the home have a history of cruelty, abuse, or neglect toward animals or humans, including but not limited to domestic violence charges.

Every dollar you donate goes toward:
- Rescuing dogs at high risk of euthanasia in shelters
- Providing essential vet care, including spay/neuter procedures
- Transporting dogs to Maine
- Covering emergency medical bills
- Providing training to help them succeed in their forever homes

There are so many ways to get involved, including:
- Processing foster and adoption applications
- Organizing and helping at adoption & fundraising events
- Joining our fundraising team
- Providing transport assistance within Maine
- Grant writing
- Connecting us with businesses for sponsorships or donated supplies (hardware, fencing, pet care, etc.)
- Dog trainers (in Maine or virtual) willing to donate time to help our pups
- Baking for adoption event bake sales
- And so much more!
